Madsi is an independent server management platform that bridges Discord and Minecraft. It consists of three components: a web-based dashboard (the "Service"), a Discord bot, and a Minecraft mod (the "Mod"). By using any part of Madsi you agree to these terms.
Who you are contracting with. Madsi is operated by [TRADER: legal name, to be completed before launch], trading as Madsi, at [TRADER: geographic postal address, to be completed before launch]. Company and VAT registration: [TRADER: registration numbers, or "none: sole trader"]. You can reach us at [email protected] or in our Discord server.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Madsi. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to manage the Discord servers you connect to Madsi.
You sign in via Discord OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account. Madsi does not store your Discord password. You must own a legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition to use the account linking features.
The Madsi Minecraft mod is provided free of charge and always will be. You may download, install, and use the Mod on any Minecraft server without payment. Paid subscriptions provide access to the web-based dashboard and management tools, not to the Mod itself or any Minecraft content.
Madsi offers free and paid subscription tiers (Basic and Pro) with different feature sets. Prices are fixed per tier and charged in GBP; a price shown in another currency is an estimate, and your bank or Stripe converts the charge at its own rate. The GBP price is the total you pay: VAT or sales tax, where it applies to you, is already included in it and is not added on top.
Changing plan. Moving to a higher-priced plan takes effect straight away. If you stay on the same billing period you pay only the difference between the two plans for the rest of it, and your renewal date does not change. If you move from monthly to yearly billing, your year starts that day: we credit the part of the month you have not used and charge the year, so your renewal date moves. Moving to a lower-priced plan, or from yearly to monthly billing, takes effect on your renewal date instead: you keep the plan you paid for until then, nothing is charged, and no refund or account credit is issued. You have not lost anything, because the period you bought still runs to its end. You can undo a pending change at any time before it happens. One plan change can be pending at a time, and a plan cannot be changed while a payment is outstanding or while the subscription is already set to end.
Who you pay. Checkout is run by Stripe, and Stripe's affiliate Sold through Link, LLC (trading as Onelink) is the merchant of record for the payment. That covers the payment and the tax on it. Everything about the product itself stays with us: your subscription to Madsi, and everything else in these terms, is between you and us, and we remain responsible for the Service, for support, and for refunds. In practice:
LINK.COM* or onelink.com* followed by our name, rather than as "Madsi" on its own.If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a statutory right to cancel a purchase of a digital service within 14 days of buying it. Checkout asks you to accept these terms; it does not ask you to give up that right or to agree that it ends once access starts. So the 14 days apply in full, to monthly, yearly and Lifetime purchases alike: ask within 14 days of purchase and you get back what you paid, without being asked why.
How to ask. Come to us: email [email protected] or message us in our Discord server. Any clear statement will do (you do not have to use a particular form of words) and we will confirm it to you in writing. Because Onelink handles the payment, you can also raise the request with Onelink support directly; if you do, say that you are cancelling within the "cooling off period", which is the basis their terms recognise for this.
We cancel straight away and start the refund the same working day we agree it. It goes back to the card or account you paid with (we cannot send it anywhere else) and there is no fee. The money usually reaches you in 3 to 7 working days. If we refund soon after you paid, your bank may remove the original charge from your statement rather than show a separate credit, so check for the charge disappearing as well as for money arriving.
After the 14 days. Your payment is not refundable and your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you are in, and you keep everything until it ends. We do not refund or credit part-periods.
When a yearly plan renews. A renewal is easy to forget, so each one gets its own 14 days. Tell us within 14 days of a yearly renewal and we refund the whole months of that new year you have not used, on the £100 Pro year, £8.33 for each of them. Your access ends on the day we issue the refund.
Lifetime Pro. Refundable in full within 14 days of purchase, the same window as everything else. A place refunded inside that window goes back into the pool; a place given up after it, by a later refund or a chargeback, is retired rather than offered to somebody else. Either way you are free to buy again afterwards, whether another Lifetime place or an ordinary subscription.
If we raise the price of a plan during a period you have already paid for, or withdraw a feature your plan includes, you can cancel and we will refund the part of that period you have not used. If something is broken on our side, tell us whenever it happens. We will fix it or refund it, inside the 14 days or well outside them. If it appears to us that refunds are being misused, we may stop offering them on that account. If you ask your bank to reverse a payment rather than contacting us, we will close the subscription and the account.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.
Feedback-board content. Posts, comments and votes you submit to the public feedback board are visible to others. You keep ownership of what you post, but you grant Madsi a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and act on it (for example, to build a requested feature) for as long as the board operates. You are responsible for what you post. A comment may be held for review before it is shown (for example, one that carries a link to another site), and a shown comment may be hidden later. We may moderate, edit, or remove any submission, and we may reuse ideas from feedback without obligation or compensation.
Your use of Madsi is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we use it.
When you connect a Minecraft server, the Mod sends us data about the people who play on it: their Minecraft UUIDs and usernames, join and leave events, in-game chat and whispers, and playtime and activity statistics. Those players are not our customers. Most of them never signed up for Madsi and never saw these terms. Under UK and EU data protection law that makes you the controller of their data and us your processor, and this section is the written contract for that.
It applies for as long as we hold player data for your server, and it covers only the data the Mod and bot send us about your players: not the account data we hold about you, which we handle as controller under the Privacy Policy. We will:
Your side of it. You need a lawful basis for sending us your players' data, and you must tell your players that the server relays their names, chat, whispers and play statistics to Madsi, a third party, and point them at this policy. A line in your server rules, MOTD, or Discord landing channel is enough. We cannot do this for you: those players have no relationship with us and we have no way to reach them. You are also responsible for keeping your instructions to us lawful.
Madsi is provided on an "as is" basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Madsi and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, server downtime, whitelist misconfiguration, or disruption to your Minecraft server or Discord community. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Madsi integrates with Discord, Microsoft, Mojang/Minecraft, Stripe (whose affiliate, trading as Onelink, is the merchant of record for payments: see section 5), Google, Modrinth, Resend, minecraft.wiki, the server-status services mcstatus.io and mcsrvstat.us, the skin-render service starlightskins.lunareclipse.studio, and the player-avatar service mc-heads.net. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. Madsi is not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services. Section 6 of the Privacy Policy says what each of them receives.
The Madsi name, logo, dashboard, bot, and all original code and design are the property of Madsi's developer. You retain ownership of your own data (server configurations, whitelist rules, etc.). The Madsi Mod is distributed free of charge under its published license.
Madsi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft Corporation, or Discord Inc. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Studios. "Discord" is a trademark of Discord Inc. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the dashboard or Discord. Continued use of Madsi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of Madsi, are governed by the law of [TRADER: governing law, to be completed before launch], and the courts of [TRADER: courts with jurisdiction, to be completed before launch] have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you can still bring a claim in your own courts.
If you have questions about these terms, reach out via our Discord server or email [email protected].
