Pricing
AdminPricing is a flat rate per tier. Pro is always double the Basic price. Yearly plans are charged for 10 months and cover 12. The advertised price is the total you pay: VAT or local sales tax is already included where it applies. Plans are charged in GBP. The About page shows an estimate in your currency; your bank or Stripe converts the charge at its own rate.
Your price doesn't change as your server grows. When a plan change takes effect depends on its direction, not on a setting: see Upgrades & downgrades below.
Upgrades & downgrades
AdminChange plan at any time from the Billing page. Anything that increases what you pay happens straight away; anything that reduces it waits for your renewal date, so you never lose time you have already paid for.
- Upgrading (Basic to Pro) on the same billing interval takes effect immediately. You pay only the difference between the two plans for the days left in your current period, and your renewal date does not change. If that payment is declined, nothing changes: your current plan carries on, with no grace period, and you can try again. If your bank asks you to confirm it, the upgrade applies once you do.
- Switching to yearly, on the same plan or up to Pro, starts your year that day. We credit the part of the month you have not used and charge the year, so your renewal date moves.
- Downgrading, and any switch from yearly to monthly (Basic Yearly to Pro Monthly included), takes effect on your renewal date. Nothing is charged and nothing is refunded: you keep the plan you paid for until then. You can undo it any time before that date. To get Pro straight away from Basic Yearly, choose Pro Yearly.
A downgrade never deletes anything. Custom branding and custom (rule builder) whitelist rules stop, and anything over the new plan's limits (custom commands, messages, tracked stats, schedules, extra servers, worlds) is paused, not deleted. All of it stays stored and comes straight back if you upgrade again. A paused stat role rule hands its role to nobody new, but members who already have it keep it until the rule comes back or you delete it.
Extra servers switch off oldest first: the oldest ones stay on. To keep a different one, open the Servers page and press Keep this one active on a switched-off server, then choose which active server switches off in its place.
Lifetime Pro
AdminThe Lifetime plan is a one-time payment that grants permanent Pro-tier features for one Discord server at any size. It is limited to 50 places in total, and the Billing page only offers it while places remain. A server already on Basic or Pro can buy it too, by anyone with the Billing permission, even while someone else pays: the subscription stops when Lifetime starts, whatever was paid for the unused part of the current billing period is refunded to the payment method it was paid with (nothing, if that period cost nothing), and the person who paid is emailed to say why.
Lifetime licenses are permanently tied to the specific Discord server ID they were purchased for and cannot be transferred.
Billing cycle
AdminSubscriptions are billed either monthly or yearly. Yearly billing gives you 2 months free. You pay for 10 months and get 12. You can switch between monthly and yearly at any time.
Cancellation
AdminYou can cancel your subscription from the Billing page. You keep paid features until the end of the current billing cycle, then the server drops to Free. Team members and mapped Discord roles lose access (the owner keeps it); remote console, restarts, scheduled restarts and commands, and whitelisting on application accept stop; extra servers, custom branding and anything over the Free limits switch off. Nothing is deleted, and you can undo the cancellation any time before that date.
A plan belongs to whoever pays for it, and only one person pays at a time. The payer changes the plan, updates its card and sees its invoices, even after the server's ownership moves to someone else. The Billing page shows everyone else who pays, the plan and its renewal date. The server owner can also cancel it at the end of the paid period (the payer is emailed), but never sees the payer's card or invoices or changes the plan on their card. If the payer no longer has access to the server, Your subscriptions (from the account menu) still lists the plan, opens the billing portal for it, and shows any request to take it over, to approve or decline. While someone else pays for the plan, the owner can delete the server's data (after removing the bot) only once that plan has ended; Lifetime Pro someone else bought blocks the delete until support sorts it out.
A server on Free has no team, so only its owner can start a plan there, including a new one after a plan has ended. To pay for a plan someone else pays for, choose Take over billing on the Billing page. The owner or the current payer approves it (the other is emailed), and you then pick a plan and add your own card. Nothing is charged until the current paid period ends, when your plan starts and the old subscription stops renewing, so nobody pays twice and nothing is refunded. If the current plan ends before then, your plan starts, and is charged, at once. A plan whose last payment failed has no paid period to take over, so a request can't be made or approved until it is paid; if its grace period runs out, the server drops to Free and its owner can start a new plan. A request lapses after 7 days without an answer, and an approval after 7 days without a card. The owner's own takeover needs no approval. Payments are never split.
Cancelling does not refund the period you are in. Within 14 days of buying you can have the payment back in full instead: email [email protected]. And if a yearly plan renews and you would rather it had not, the Billing page offers the months of the new year you have not used, for 14 days after the renewal.
If a payment fails
AdminA failed renewal is almost always an expired or re-issued card. Nothing is deleted and nothing changes immediately: your plan stays fully active while Stripe retries. An email (or a Discord message if we have no email for you) tells you how long you have, and the Billing page shows the date access would change.
Update the card on the Billing page and the new card is charged straight away, which clears it. If your bank is asking you to confirm the payment rather than declining it, approve it from the prompt your bank sends or from the confirmation email Onelink sends you, retrying on its own cannot clear that one. Cancelling the plan while a payment is failing ends it at once: the server drops to Free and the unpaid payment is not retried.
If the grace period runs out the server drops to Free. Team members and mapped Discord roles lose access (the owner keeps it); remote console, restarts, scheduled restarts and commands, and whitelisting on application accept stop; extra servers, custom branding and anything over the Free limits switch off. Nothing is removed, and paying restores all of it exactly as it was. If you pay for the plan but can no longer open the server, it is listed on your Subscriptions page, where you can pay it or cancel it in the billing portal.
Payments, receipts & your statement
AdminMadsi payments are processed by Stripe through Onelink, which is the merchant of record. On your bank or card statement the charge reads LINK.COM* followed by the descriptor. That is your Madsi subscription, not a separate service.
Receipts, invoices and refund notices are emailed to you by Onelink. Manage the subscription itself (payment method, plan, cancellation) from the Billing page in your dashboard. If Onelink created an account for you under the email you paid with, your order is listed there too.
Prices include VAT or local sales tax where it applies, so the advertised price is the total charged, and Stripe can convert it to your local currency. For a refund, come to us: email [email protected] or message us in the Madsi Discord server within 14 days of buying and we will refund it in full.
